Patak's has recruited Fiona Mannion as group marketing director to fill one of two posts created after the departure of sales and marketing director Alison Cannon.
Group sales director Jonathan Bye took over international sales when Cannon left in September, in addition to continuing his UK sales director role. Cannon became marketing director at Grampian Country Foods (The Grocer, June 22, p58).
Mannion will take up her post in January and will be responsible for global marketing and new product development. She will report directly to group managing director David Page who said: "Mannion will be a key and influential figure within Patak's. She has a wealth of food industry experience and will be using her expertise to increase consumer penetration." Mannion said one of her first tasks would be to continue extensive consumer research into purchasing requirements and habits so products could better target consumer needs.
Areas for future development will include ready meals, meal solutions and snacks.
Mannion moves from The Braes Group where she was group marketing director. Before that she was UK marketing director for retail and foodservice at McCormick UK.
Mannion said: "I have always had immense respect for the Patak's brand. It is exciting to be working with such a team and I am looking forward to how much we will be able to achieve together."
