A new advertising campaign for RSPCA-approved poultry products has been praised by an industry boss more used to locking swords with the charity.
Peter Bradnock, chief executive of the British Poultry Council, said the latest press adverts for Freedom Food turkey, chicken and eggs were positive and constructive.
“They seem to be focusing much more on the perceived benefits of the systems that they are promoting, rather than on depicting the conventional sector as a huge bunch of baddies,” said Bradnock.
The RSPCA’s advertisements suggest that turkey consumers should be “making an ethical choice this Christmas”.
