Drinks group Pernod Ricard's sales in the nine months to March 31 rose 67.4% to E4.571bn.

The group said that sales had been helped by its acquisition of Allied Domecq last year and the sell off of a number of brands.

It added that sales of former Allied Domecq brands totalled E1.777bn since July last year, while Pernod Ricard's original premium brands, including Chivas Regal, Jameson and Martell, all increased sales.
