Northern funnyman Peter Kay will join the likes of Danii Minogue, Lisa Snowdon and Twiggy for Marks & Spencer’s 2010 Christmas campaign.

The push begins on TV tomorrow (3 November) and will feature the slogan ‘Don’t put a foot wrong this Christmas’.

Kay stars in a dancing-themed clothing ad, while Caroline Quentin will continue to promote the high street giant’s food offer, hosting a party and cooking Christmas dinner.

The retailer is also launching a new microsite as part of the campaign, marksandspencer.com/christmashelper.

“This is one of the best Christmas campaigns we’ve ever put together,” said marketing director Steve Sharp.

“It is very glamorous and lots of fun, truly capturing the spirit of the Christmas party season. This is also the most integrated campaign we’ve ever put together. There’s a seamless transition from TV to online and we have a strong presence across all media, from mainstream TV right through to social media.”
