Pig industry leaders met this week to thrash out a strategy for the future of Britain's pig sector. The British Pig Executive's blueprint aims to cut costs in production, encourage communication at all stages of supply chain and match products to changing consumer demand with the ultimate plan of expanding the market into Europe and beyond. BPEX chairman Richard Campbell said the plan met with support from 60 industry leaders, who suggested other action points. "These will be incorporated. The next step is for it to be given as wide a circulation as possible throughout the industry," said Campbell. {{NEWS }}
