Specialist retailer Planet Organic is working on expansion plans to grow store numbers over the next few years.
American Renée Elliott founded the company 10 years ago and now runs three supermarkets in London.
“We have now got concrete plans to double the business in the next two years,” explained Elliot. “We will have a turnover of £10m next year and, as our Fulham store is still new, there is more room to grow there.”
She said that four more stores were in the pipeline for the M25
area and added that she hoped to open 10 stores in the region before expanding elsewhere.
“We will be working very closely with our suppliers over the next few years to make sure we can distribute to other parts of the country,” said Elliott.
“We have very good relationships with our suppliers but the supply chain is very fragmented - it will need to move along with us as we continue to grow.”
