Portfolio Holdings, with joint venture partners Christopher Milne and John Lorimer, has paid Royal Doulton £5m for the eight acre site of the china manufacturer's hq in central Stoke on Trent. Portfolio has put in a planning application for a 75,000 sq ft food store with a further 45,000 sq ft of retail space.
