The National Federation of Retail Newsagents has unveiled a new scheme to help members that have lost their sub post offices. The four-step plan does not include financial assistance, but highlights ways to increase customer traffic, maximise sales and lower operating costs. Members are also encouraged to take advantage of NFRN deals on the likes of bakery Cuisine de France and DVD supplier Little Hollywood.

“The Federation exists to provide as much help and advice as possible to members,” said NFRN marketing and business development head Graeme Collins. “Through this latest service we hope to show members that there are still plenty of trading opportunities, even after the loss of their post office business. With four simple steps they can create new traffic-builders and revenue streams and get their shops in the best shape possible.”
