Indian poultry giant Venky’s has completed its takeover of Premier League football club Blackburn Rovers.

New owners Venkatesh and Balaji Rao made their first post-takeover appearance in front of the club’s fans this Sunday during Blackburn’s match against Aston Villa, which the home side won 2-0.

The £54m sale of the club has already prompted speculation that Blackburn’s stadium, Ewood Park, could be renamed Venky’s Stadium. Blackburn has denied there are plans to change the stadium’s name.
