Sir; In your October 13 issue, you argued the case for retailers to have their own dedicated trade organisation. There are two problems with this proposal. First, it would have to include all food retailers, big and small, to be truly representative. Second, it would fatally weaken the British Retail Consortium as the trade association for the retail industry as a whole by leaving it hopelessly lobsided.
