Irish food and dairy products group Golden Vale has completed a major investment programme with the construction of its manufacturing plant in Enniskillen, it revealed in its annual results. The facility produces a range of frozen microwaveable and hand held snacks, all marketed through the retail and foodservice channels. "Golden Vale needs to concentrate on the prepared food part of its business, recently acquired Rye Valley Foods, to drive revenue growth," said one analyst. Pretax profit rose 6% to 34.3m euros in the year to December 31. Turnover dropped 1% to 759m euros, due to the disposal of non core businesses. {{NEWS }}
