The Big Food Group has been criticised for its refurbishment programme and its move upmarket by Icelandic retailer Baugur - which owns a 22.1% stake in the group.
However, chief executive of the BFG Bill Grimsey tried to dismiss the criticism saying “Baugur have always been supportive of our strategy and happy with their investment.”

Tesco is searching for one of its first tins of Value baked beans and is offering a £500 reward to the lucky owner.
The supermarket wants to display the tin, first launched for 17p in 1993, at its head office.
