The Fueling Talker units, designed by communications firm DirectCast, are fitted to fuel nozzles and broadcast a mix of information and advertising.
Messages are on a pre-recorded 90-second loop and can be refreshed fortnightly or monthly, in line with promotional campaigns.
Direct Cast is also discussing trials of the system at Sainsbury and Morrisons forecourt outlets.
Current advertisers and sponsors include Nestlé and Duracell. DirectCast director Chip Rimmer said: "We communicate key information to the consumer, be it a branded message or a c-store promo."
Pumps have a volume control so customers can turn off the messages if they wish.
