TV's Glen set to head south Quality Meat Scotland plans to roll out its marketing campaign for Specially Selected Scotch meat into south east England early next year. Although funding has yet to be finalised, md Alasdair Muir said the campaign would comprise fully integrated below- and above-the-line activity. And he said the activity would include tv advertising, initially in the Meridian region. The tv ad has already been aired north of the border as part of the campaign which features a character called Glen  "the new hero of Specially Selected Scotch". Muir said the campaign was designed to be a "wholesome metaphor for all that is best about Scottish meat providing both quality reassurance and appetite appeal". The Glen campaign features the strapline: Raised the way you want it.'. QMS has spent £500,000 on the campaign in Scotland and would invest "substantially more than that" when the activity comes south. The south east is a core market for Scottish meat and had been targeted for a campaign this year  until foot and mouth, which resulted in QMS focusing promotional efforts on Scotland, said Muir. {{MEAT }}
