Superquinn is among leading retailers in the Irish Republic who have joined an online shopping portal, Buy4Now, offering Irish consumers a range of 25,000 products. Buy4Now chief executive Ali Murdoch said: "By partnering with Superquinn and other respected brands we plan to revolutionise how people shop in this country." He claimed that current projections suggested 30% of Irish consumers would be shopping online in 2001, and said their system, provided by software company Unipower, was capable of handling high volumes of transactions with multiple retailers. - Buy4Now's launch coincides with a pilot net shopping scheme being introduced by Tesco in Dublin and Cork. {{NEWS }}
