Paul Griffiths has been promoted from MD to chief executive of cake maker Inter Link Foods as part of a reshuffle of the senior management team.
Former CEO Alwin Thompson is now executive chairman, while chairman Jeremy Hamer will serve as deputy chairman and senior independent director of the board.
The move would enable Thompson to focus on strategic opportunities for Inter Link, which had more than tripled its turnover in the past three years through a series of acquisitions, said Griffiths.
Company secretary Chris Neilson would take on additional responsibilities as business development director, while sales director Ted Whitfield has stepped down from the main board, but would remain an integral part of the senior management team, Griffiths added.
Chris Thompson, formerly chief general manager at United Co-operatives’ non-food trading business, joins the company as group finance director.
