Schwan’s is adding four Brick Oven pizzas to its Freschetta range, while Green Isle Foods is expanding its Goodfella’s brand with six products under a new Delicia sub-brand.
Both are aimed at replicating restaurant quality, with Freschetta Brick Oven boasting “a crispy fire-baked crust” and an irregular shape for a home-made look. Delicia sports packaging that aims to capture “the essence of outdoor Italian family life”.
Freschetta brand manager Lee Walker said his company’s newcomer, priced at £2.99, had listings in Iceland and Morrisons and offered “freshness and quality”.
Green Isle will support Goodfella’s Delicia, which retails at £2.09 for a 10-inch pizza, with a national sampling roadshow.
