Meal kit company Rocket has closed its 16 railway station kiosk outlets to focus on the supply side of its business.
The Unilever Ventures-backed company’s branded meals are now on sale at four Whistlestop stores on railway concourses. They will be rolled out to a further 24 this year (The Grocer, March 20, p16).
As Whistlestop is part of the international Select Service Partner Group, the deal will give Rocket access to 21 countries around the world. Rocket has also signed pilot deals with Somerfield, the Co-op, Wine Cellar, Boots and Total.
