Champagne Charles Heidsieck is launching its first non-vintage rosé as it looks to capitalise on the UK's love for pink Champagne.

Rosé Champagne now accounts for 8% of the UK Champagne market, said the company, which has previously produced only vintage rosé Champagnes.

"The UK Champagne market is currently on a high - now almost worth £1bn," said Janette Peat, brand manager at distributor Maxxium UK. "This is the result of more frequent consumption trends and newcomers to the category."

Charles Heidsieck 's "classic" rosé Champagne will have an rsp of £40.
