Potential buyers of Devon Desserts group are running into double figures according to receiver Grant Thornton, which hopes to sell the chilled and frozen yogurts and desserts company as a going concern. Joint receiver Duncan Swift said: "We hope to make a sale in the next few weeks. Marketing for the sale has not even begun and we are into double figures on expressions of interest." Newton Abbey based Devon Desserts and BG Foods had a turnover of £40m last year, but ran out of working capital this year because of disruption to growth plans through competitive pressures. Swift said: "It is my intention that the group continues trading normally, with a view to achieving a sale." {{NEWS }}
