Own brand household and personal care provider McBride has posted a modest increase in sales in its latest trading update.
The company said sales were up by 1% in the period from 1 July to 24 October.
It said moves were underway to counter the rising cost of raw materials and restructuring projects in the UK and Italy announced earlier this year had been completed to schedule.
The increase in overall sales came despite McBride this year also having exited low-margin business in Spain.
“Whilst our markets remain highly competitive, we continue to see growth in our core categories and the benefit of ongoing cost reduction programmes,” said McBride chief executive Chris Bull.
