Cake manufacturer Finsbury Food Group has reported half-year sales increases across its businesses and expects to meet full-year expectations.

Sales rose 16% in its Memory Lane Cakes business, 18% in its combined California Cakes and Campbells Cakes division, 14% in its Nicholas and Harris unit and 12% in Lightbody Group.

Finsbury added that it remained confident the majority of cost increases in flour, eggs and dairy products would be recovered by the end of this month.

“With input costs stabilising and selling price increases being achieved, the directors remain comfortable that the group will meet market expectations for the full-year,” Finsbury said.
