British specialities were among the major successes at Food & Drink Expo, as buyers from across the entire retail sector visited a Food from Britain pavilion manned by more than 50 firms. FFB director Charlotte Lawson said: "There was a real buzz about the place and the quality of buyer from the smaller delis up to Harrods was very high. The show was the perfect platform for specialist suppliers to reflect the changing tastes of the discerning adult market within the UK." Lawson said smaller producers, often rural based, were becoming more astute at tapping into eating trends. "Some are successfully leading the industry in refining products to suit consumers prepared to pay a little bit extra for gourmet products." Lawson said the show had proved to be the "perfect foundation" for suppliers keen to develop business. {{NEWS }}
