Jonathan Scoffield, general manager of Matthew Walker, has become managing director of Dalepak, Northern Foods’ frozen food subsidiary.
He replaces Jon Eagle, who has been promoted to a group level executive post within Northern Foods.
Scoffield was instrumental in driving growth at Matthew Walker, which is another Northern Foods subsidiary making Christmas and sponge puddings. During his time there he oversaw the company’s development into new product areas such as licensed branded goods.
He has worked for Northern Foods throughout his career, spending time at Bowyers and Pork Farms before their merger and Fox’s Biscuits.
He joins as the company rolls out a new range of frozen ready meals across the retail sector under its wider Dalepak meat-free range.
“The company is in fine shape,” said Scoffield, “particularly through the success of the Ross frozen burger brand.
“I am looking forward to getting stuck in with everyone to continue the development of an excellent business.”
