Former prime minister Winston Churchill is helping Scottish Leader Whisky take its advertising down a new route by posthumously appearing on the back of a bus in a ginger wig and tartan hat. The ad also cheekily plays on the image to claim There's only one Scottish Leader'. However, Churchill is not the only one to have been picked on in the Glasgow bus campaign, with a variety of world leaders also donning the fetching headgear to suffer the same snub.
The campaign is also focusing on colour ads in newspapers and on posters, along with radio advertising.
Fraser Thornton, UK sales director for Burn Stewart, said: "Our tongue-in-cheek advertising campaign has been very popular and, unlike many conventional campaigns, we are continually looking at innovative ways to catch the eye of consumers."
Scottish Leader has recently gained new listings in Asda and Kwik Save.
