Scottish Courage has appointed Tim Seager UK marketing director, succeeding Tony McGrath who is now MD for the on-trade.

Seager’s move follows the appointment of Andy Neal as consumer marketing director and John Botia as MD of Newcastle Breweries last month (The Grocer, August 30, p15). He has 15 years’ international experience in consumer marketing.
Seager, who moves from Procter & Gamble in France, where he was a marketing director, will join the brewer in January. He will oversee marketing for longstanding ScotCo brands such as Courage Best and John Smith’s, as well as HP Bulmer’s cider division, including Strongbow. The cidermaker was acquired by Scottish & Newcastle, owner of Scottish Courage, this summer.
