Westler Foods, maker of the Tyne and Chesswood brands, has recruited Peter Sheldrick as operations director, based at its Amotherby site near Malton in north Yorkshire.
He will take over running the production, technical and quality control departments for Westler Foods’ ambient grocery ranges, which includes its dog food products. He will also oversee the development of its foodservice ranges, including hot dogs.
Before joining the company, he worked as a consultant after a 32-year career at Premier Foods, where he was general manager of its Long Sutton factory in Lincolnshire.
The announcement of Sheldrick’s appointment follows the promotion of Henry Breese from finance director to managing director.
