Shippam's is making its first foray into the organics market with the launch of a five product range at the end of January. The launch, which includes its first dedicated children's products, represents a step change for the 200 year old company best known for traditional spreads, pastes and pâtés. The range includes soup, canned meals and spreads, and will be supported with advertising and promotions from late spring. Unlike most organic products, which sell at a hefty premium to their inorganic counterparts, Shippam's are positioned as keenly priced. Sales and marketing director Perry Meek said that one of the range's main selling points was its "accessibility", with relatively low prices and "everyday" flavours. Rsp 392g mushroom soup 99p; chicken soup £1.09; chicken in white sauce £2.29; 75g vegetable spread 69p, and chicken 89p. {{P&P }}
