Cash-conscious UK shoppers use more than 2.4 million discount vouchers every day, according to new research.
Every minute 1,692 coupons are redeemed – up by 25% from last year – according to figures from moneysupermarket.com.
It is thought each adult in the UK now hands over at least three discount vouchers every eight weeks.
"Since our launch a year ago, discount-hungry consumers have downloaded over one million offers from the site and our love affair with vouchers shows no sign of abating,” said the website’s Sian Harrison.
