Nestlé is having a canny go at extending the market for its popular kids' brand Smarties by adding a new pack format to the portfolio ­ the Smarties Can. Available as a permanent line from next month, the 70g packs contain around 65 standard sized Smarties in a resealable ringpull can. The cans are made from plastic, making them safe for little fingers. Packed in 24-can outers, they each have an rsp of 75p. Sales communications manager Graham Walker said: "Kids will go wild for these cans. The resealable ringpull also means mum is still able to ration the sweets." {{P&P }}
