A third of small and medium-sized businesses are aware of anti-competitive practices in their sector, however few are prepared to speak out about it.

According to the latest research from the Office of Fair Trading, almost a quarter of smaller companies believe they have been victims of unfair behaviour.

The findings echoed the OFT’s earlier report on Supermarket Code of Conduct which revealed a climate of fear for small retailers and suppliers.

In this latest report only 22% said that they would report these unfair practices to the OFT.
