Smiths News has announced two contract wins that will add £7m to its annual revenues.
The wholesaler said it had signed deals with publishers Northcliffe and Newsquest to distribute regional press in areas including the East Midlands and the southwest of England.
Both deals will take effect before the end of 2010.
“Smiths is now the largest distributor of regional press in England and Wales, with over £75m of revenue,” said chief executive Mark Cashmore. “We are delighted to have increased our market share with both Northcliffe and Newsquest.”
