Gary Squire has been promoted to replace Bruce Ray as director of trade marketing at Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands.

Squire was formerly director of on-trade sales for the BBFB portfolio, a role he held for seven years.

Prior to BBFB he was operations director at Bass Leisure and also worked for Whitbread and Britvic in various sales and commercial roles.

In his new role, Squire will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies for the entire BBFB portfolio across on and off-trade, working closely with trade marketing, brand and sales teams.

Ray moves to the position of director of UK external affairs. In his new role, he will work across Bacardi-Martini and the Brown-Forman businesses within the UK market to implement and update external affairs policies.

He will also work with trade bodies on issues such as legal drinking age laws, smoking bans, taxation and responsible marketing.?
