The decision comes a year after the brewer reduced the number of lines in the Stinger range from seven to four.
Venom, which was launched in 2000 as a value RTD offering, has been revamped with a new recipe and labelling with the texture and appearance of snake skin. The range has been joined by two new flavours - Red, a mix of pomegranate and raspberry, and Iron, which features Irn Bru.
The relaunch will be supported by an ad campaign kicking off later this month with outdoor posters appearing at stations and on taxis.
The slogan, ‘There’s a bit of venom in all of us’, will feature alongside the picture of two bodies made up of human and snake skin.
