Uniq is pressing for a last minute meeting with the T& G to prevent a pay dispute at two of its plants spiralling into industrial action.

More than 85% of staff at Uniq ready meals factories at Annan and Finnarts Bay in south west Scotland voted in favour of strike action this week after rejecting a 3% pay offer. The strike, involving up to 1,000 staff, would commence on August 19 and on every Thursday thereafter.
