Independent brewer Fuller Smith & Turner has recorded a good performance at its managed bars and clubs in full-year results released today.

Fuller’s said that stronger second-half trading had boosted performance, with like-for-like sales up 5% in its City sites and tenanted inns for the year to end April 2.

However, the group said that pre-tax profits had slipped 6% to £18m from £19.2m the year before.
