Soft drinks group Britvic is reaping the benefits of the hot summer weather after reporting a 5.9% jump in sales for the 12 weeks to 5 July.
The group’s GB and international sales grew by 11.6% to £209.4m over the period.
Much of this was down to a massive leap in the sale of its carbonates in the UK. Fizzy drinks including Pepsi – which the company makes under licence in the UK – and 7Up were up 14.4%.
“Britvic has continued to outperform the market in the latest quarter,” said chief executive Paul Moody. “Our powerful brand portfolio has again driven both volume and revenue growth.”
