A delegation from the NFRN's Parliamentary Committee met industry bodies and a range of MEPs to discuss the issue.
NFRN chief executive Roger Clarke said: "The Federation has support from all three parties in Europe, and a range of activities to follow up. No stone will be left unturned in ensuring our members' businesses no longer have this money expropriated."
The OFT's report on carriage charges was rumoured to be due for publication this month.
The NFRN also discussed with MEPs its call to see small newsagents reclassified as micro-businesses and treated separately from other SMEs.
