Cadbury moves up to claim the top spot in the brand chart this week, standing well ahead of any competition. The success of the brand is clearly due, in part, to the plethora of Christmas promotions on tinned and cartoned confectionery but also supported by activity in other categories including cakes and biscuits and frozen.
Like Cadbury, both Nestlé and Mars move up the chart, with Mars the highest new entry. This threesome ensures the confectionery category secures a place in the chart this week.
Elsewhere in the chart, the highest climber is Coca-Cola, which moves up to third place with a variety of multibuy offers.
Other new entries include Schweppes and Ariel, which just sneaks in at the bottom of the chart. Schweppes is clearly making the most of the proximity of Christmas with offers on a variety of mixers.
Heinz and McVitie’s both move up with both brands featuring buy-one-get-one-free offers and other multibuy promotions.
