Continuing interest in sweetcorn has meant that both volumes and values are continuing to rise, according to the latest data from Taylor Nelson Sofres. Volume sales were up 10% and value sales 17% in the year to March, with the multiples increasing their share to nearly 91%. The product is available year-round in varying forms from loose cobs mainly sold in the summer by English producers as well as twin prepacks sourced from as far afield as France, Spain and the US.
