Publisher IPC Connect expects sales of celebrity title Now to be boosted thanks to the launch of a new 16 page beauty and lifestyle section, supported by a massive promotional campaign. The section will debut in the February 2 issue, on sale January 27. It is backed with a £1m marketing campaign which will include an issue specific TV ad campaign for four weeks from January 27. There will be poster advertisements in 200 train stations in the Greater London area, money off coupons, radio advertising and extensive merchandising at key distribution sites. Publishing director Sandy Gale said: "The development programme will ensure Now maintains its key position in the celebrity gossip sector." Editor Jane Ennis added: "The new section reflects our readers' consuming interest with every celebrity and is an extension of our highly successful Star Style specials.
