This weekend's Sunday Telegraph will feature the first section of The Great Escape 2000 partwork. The series, which will be included in the Sunday Telegraph Magazine, is a guide for people who are considering moving away from London while remaining within commuting distance of the capital. Running for four weeks, each 16-page section focuses on particular areas grouped by journey time from London, carrying information on areas such as season ticket prices, train frequencies and schools. The Great Escape first appeared in 1997, when it added 36,000 extra readers in its first week and an average of 18,000 over four weeks. The new partwork has been fully updated. The Great Escape 2000 will be supported by a radio advertising campaign and forms part of two weeks' activity by The Telegraph titles to focus attention on their property content. As part of this, a token collection promotion launches in today's Daily Telegraph offering readers the chance to win a country cottage. {{CTN }}
