In an area where there is a trend towards global marketing, home-grown brands are largely best known and favoured by Britons, says Landor Associates, strategic design consultants. Marks & Spencer ranked top of the list of the UK's most powerful brands, closely followed by Kellogg's and Cadbury. Heinz and McVities also feature in the top ten.
