February 23, 1901. A sermon on early closing was preached on Sunday, at the Ebenezer Free Church, Leith, by the Rev. J.D. Robertson, who said he considered it a privilege to be associated, even in the most humble way, with a movement which tended towards the bettering of any class of his fellow citizens, and he esteemed it an honour that he had the opportunity of giving visibility to a movement which aimed at the comfort and welfare of fellow-toilers and which must claim the sympathy of all who gave a passing thought to the disadvantages under which their shopkeepers laboured. {{COUNTERPOINT }}
