August 26, 1950. The formation of Craigmillar Creamery Co. Ltd. and British Creameries Ltd. was announced by Mr. Clive Van den Bergh, chairman of the newly formed company, at a meeting at Unilever House on August 18. Mr. Van den Bergh also announced the establishment of the CBC Service Bakery, replacing the Unilever Bakery Service, which formerly provided an advisory service on behalf of both companies. All representatives of the two companies will remain as members of the new company's sales staff, and the C.B.C.
