As we all know, it is sometimes difficult to find time to do the day job and The Grocer's news editor Richard Clarke certainly had to juggle the demands of news editing with his celebrity status this week.

Richard's brain was picked on a number of industry stories, with interviews on Farming Today on provenance and with The Independent newspaper on the environmental initiatives being taken by supermarkets.

The latter story seems to have got the world interested and The Grocer's reputation is certainly far-flung.

our industry when it comes to the environment.

The printed press rose to our story last week about warnings from millers about a likely soaring of the price of bread, biscuits and cake on the back of a disappointing wheat harvest, thanks to the hot weather and ever-increasing energy costs.

Metrosexual man featured on the pages of The Guardian earlier this week following our Focus On feature. Tesco's senior buyer for toiletries, health and beauty was quoted from our feature, saying it is now officially cool for men to use wax strips, face masks and scrubbers.
