The World Cup is still fresh in the mind, but did you know last year 'our boys' took part in a kids' version of the biggest and best sporting tournament? The Danone Nations Cup in Lyons, France, saw 32 countries compete to become young champions of the footballing world - and in the process, scooped Danone's UK arm the Culture Media and Sport prize at the Food and Drink Federation's Community Partnerships Awards.

Pictured here are England players competing in the event last summer - a squad so youthful that even Theo Walcott was too old for selection.

Entry for the 2007 awards is now open. The scheme is designed to recognise and showcase the food industry's widespread activities in areas of corporate social responsibility. For more information call 01293 867612.

In case you're wondering, England didn't win the cup. That honour went to Russia. But, we are assured, no one was head-butted in the process.
