The Association of Convenience Stores has produced a new benchmark on sector employment. A joint study with Bournemouth University's market research group published this week shows that c-store staff are predominantly women, part-time and younger than in other industries. ACS chief executive David Rae said: "This is the first research of its kind into employment in the convenience sector. It clearly supports our view that the convenience sector is important in offering opportunities to many women returners to work." The ACS plans to make the survey an annual exercise. {{NEWS }}
