Tickets for The Grocer Gold Awards ceremony are selling out fast - and it looks set to be one of the key networking events of the year.
The awards, which are sponsored by software solutions company MEI, enterprise software provider Geac and consultants KPMG, will be presented during an exclusive business dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London on June 16.
Curley’s, Jacksons Stores, Alfred Jones and Metro have all been shortlisted for best independent retail chain.
In the category for best consumer initiative, the Co-operative Group, Cranston’s, Sainsbury and Tesco will be fighting it out to secure the top prize. And Aberness, Big Food Group, Landmark Cash and Carry and United Co-ops are shortlisted for best business initiative.
Asda, Boots, Nisa-Today’s, Tesco, Thresher and Waitrose have all been shortlisted in the category for best own label range development.
The awards for best NPD by a branded supplier, best own label supplier and best branded supplier will also be unveiled on June 16.
