Companies from across the industry have made it onto the inaugural shortlist for The Grocer Gold Awards to be presented at London’s Claridges Hotel on June 11.
Shortlisted for best independent retail chain are Booths, Fresh and Wild, Jacksons, Margram and Tates.
The Co-op Group, Waitrose and Tesco will battle it out for the marketing excellence award. And the finalists in the award for best retail innovation are Sainsbury, Spar and Waitrose.
Kwik Save, M&S, Sainsbury, Safeway and Tesco have all made it onto the shortlist for the best own label range development.
And the award for best NPD by a branded goods supplier has seen these innovations make the shortlist: Hula Hoops, Shoks, Pampers, Kandoo, Nestle Double Cream, Walkers Sensations and Wrigley’s Extra Thin Ice.
